The Barton 1792 distillery, owned by Sazerac, has really grown into a powerhouse over the last several years. Each new release is extremely sought after as the quality is sky high. The Thomas S. Moore Bourbon's pay tribute to a giant in 1792's history. The whiskies begin their journey as 1792's High Rye Bourbon, but after years spent finishing in quality wine casks they are bottled as something unique and remarkable. While the whiskey industry usually sees casks finishing as a 1-6 month endeavor, the team at 1792 took it a step further and has finished these whiskies for 1-3 years in their respective wine casks. While anyone can choose to do that, it is Sazerac's incredible team which has the raw ingredients, quality cask access, and blending team that can do it and acheive a well balanced whiskey greater than the sum of its parts.
